Yes, it’s already the end of January, but I think it’s still time to wish you a very nice 2010!! My best wishes of health, love, friendships, success and may God bless you and your family!

Happy 2010!

As for my projects to my photography this year, I’m thinking a lot about what my priorities are and what I’m going to do with so many photos I have been taking in the last years. I’m not sure if I am going back to Alamy or not, if I’m going to stay in iStock or not… The doubts are in relation to the stock side of my photography, if I am going to stay in this or not.

Whatever I decide, I am going to keep shooting (pictures!) of course, and my Flickr account will be right there well active and I will be adding new pictures there for sure, cause Flickr is an addiction!

I wish all photographers, pros, semi-pros or hobbists, a lot of success this year! Good shooting (pictures!) !!

CameraBag Desktop for Windows

So, CameraBag Desktop for Windows was released. I already use it for my iPhone pics and love some efects like Helga, Lolo, Colorcross. Now I can edit photos taken with other cameras I have directly in the computer. It’s cool! It’s not expensive. I played with it a bit applying some effects to some of my photos taken with 5D and I must confess that I found it a little bit strange, because afterall, the photos were looking like my iPhone photos! I’ll try to use it more this week and look at the photos at their actual size to see the details andcheck if the quality of the photos are good. If they’re not, I’ll keep using only the app for iPhone. I’ll see.

Blogger is down today: error bX-59cppw

So I can’t access my blogger blog today. It shows an error page with a message that doesn’t explain anything about the problem and shows an error code: bX-59cppw.

I checked out the help forum and noticed I’m am not alone, a lot of people is reporting the same, so it’s not my computer, it’s in their end. Somebody in the forum said that a message was post in blogger/twitter saying that they’re investigating the problem and working on it.

I confirm it, I just saw their tweet: “We’re investigating an outage on blogger.com. Thanks for your patience as we work to resolve this.”

Well, let’s wait ansd see then.

EDITED TO SAY: It’s back now! (but I’m still curious to know what happened… anyway, it’s back!)

New wild flowers picture on my website

I recently posted this picture of some beautiful wild flowers that I took when visiting Olympia, Peloponnese, in Greece, last April. I just liked so much the view of that explosion of yellows, greens and other colors, that I took this one. I “found” it again when I was finally trying to work on the backlog of photos that I have in my hard disks. When I look at it now, I see it like a painting or something and I like it! So I’ve put it on my photo website and there will be other nature photos there soon.

P.S.: I’m confident that I’ll figure out how to post the image here and link it to its page in my website!

Good news about editorial and RM in iStock

but not for me, for now…

iStock has announced two great news for the exclusives contributors (I’m quoting JJRD’s announcements made in iStockphoto’s front page blog):

Editorial: “(…) iStockphoto Exclusives have been invited by Getty Images to contribute images to their Editorial collection starting this fall.

This will be progressive and addressed in several phases. (…)”

RM (Rights Managed): “(…) We’ve been dreaming about this one for years and today we are proud to call it a reality: under the iStock-Getty program, iStockphoto exclusive contributors have been invited to contribute to Rights-managed at Getty Images.(…)

It’s not for everybody for now. Both programs will be launched in phases. For editorial, first phase is only for exclusives going to iStanbul (istockalypse at Stanbul, Turkey, this year), then next year will be open to other exclusives. For RM, in the first phase, only some already iStock/Getty exclusive contributors, hand picked by Getty editors, will have the chance to contribute. Then, in next phase (2010), other exclusives will be able to participate.

In both cases, to be a iStock-Getty contributor, an exclusive has to be at least “silver”, so, as I am “bronze” now, for me, it’s just a dream… but hey! It’s very good news anyway! I will keep up my work and see what happens!
